Badger
68 days — The determinate plants of 'Badger' are erect, moderately branching and reach eighteen to twenty-four inches in height. The pods are three and a half to four inches long and contain about nine peas each.
'Badger' was developed as an improved canning pea variety by the Gallatin Valley Seed Company of Twin Falls, Idaho and first "sold for processor trials"[2] in 1978. It is resistant to Fusarium Wilt Race 1, Powdery Mildew, and appears to be very tolerant of Legume Yellows Virus.[2] The USDA ARS accession number is PI 601019 and although PVP was awarded, it has long since expired. Each ounce is approximately 150 seeds, which is generally enough to plant at least a ten foot row.
