Birdhouse Gourd

125 days — 'Birdhouse' gourds, also known as 'Bottleneck' gourds, are vining type plants and are grown like winter squash. Allowed to grow all season long, the vines yield large, bottle-shaped fruit that can be dried and used as decorations or birdhouses.

Since the take a long time to mature, in areas with shorter growing seasons, plant as early as possible, or start indoors in peat pots. Each packet contains three grams, which is approximately 13-15 seeds.
