88 days, dwarf - The rugose, regular leaf plants of 'Gondwana Rose' are compact and reach about three feet in height. Its fruit weigh two to five ounces, are globe to flattened-globe in shape. Their color begins as a bright green turning a deep purple-black color, and ripening to pink (clear skin with red flesh). Mildly sweet with a mildly tart finish.
'Gondwana Rose' was bred and named by Patrina Nuske-Small of NSW, Australia. It was released by the Victory Seed Company to the North American gardening public for the 2024 season.
Although it is quite stable, we have observed an occasional off-type plant.
