Parisian
60 days — The same or similar to 'Paris Market' and 'Parisian Market'. The small, globe to top-shaped bright orange carrots are not much bigger than typical globe radishes. They are a good choice for container gardening or for gardening in heavy and rocky soils. This is in fact, why they were developed. In the "olden days" when agriculture was local and produce was only available in-season, "forcing" varieties of carrots were developed so that they could be produced in frame or greenhouse conditions.
This very old French market carrot variety is popular in Europe and although increasing in popularity here in the U.S., still generally is thought of as a novelty. Along with being good for growing in containers, they are also an excellent choice for fresh eating, canning and are popular with gourmet restaurants. Each packet contains 1 gram, which is approximately 500 seeds.
