Shogoin
30 to 70 days — 'Shogoin' radishes are primarily used as a foliage crop for their mild flavored greens. The greens reach twelve to fifteen inches in height and remain tender. The roots can be eaten as well, are primarily shaped like an old-fashioned wooden top, are white fleshed, two to four inches in diameter, tender and mild flavored. The tops can be harvested for greens starting at about thirty days, and the roots at about seventy days. Also known as 'Japanese Foliage' and 'Japanese Salad', they tend to thrive in hot, dry weather. Each packet contains 0.5 gram, which is approximately 125 seeds.
