The seeds are small, kidney-shaped, and white with an orange eye.

Originally bred by the Department of Horticulture, Texas A & M College, College Station, Texas and released in 1952. It is adapted to do well under diverse conditions but is best suited for the southern United States. Each ounce is approximately 170 seeds.
